Music Series Update
During a trip to Utah, my sister-in-law, Claire Aebersold Neiweem, fell and broke her left wrist. Currently she is in a cast, and is expected to make a full recovery. Sadly, not before our next After Dark Music Series concert scheduled for May 7.
You can imagine how traumatic it is for a pianist to break a wrist – rather the equivalent of a singer developing laryngitis! Of all the repercussions of this accident, Claire is the most upset about how it affects this upcoming concert. Both Claire and Ralph have been looking forward to this opportunity almost as much as I have.
We have, however, already found a date for a rescheduled performance, so please mark it on your calendar: Friday, October 22, 2010 at 8 pm. The concert will be just as exciting in October as it had planned to be in May, and will include a perennial favorite, “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin, along with other four hand piano favorites. Claire and Ralph’s innovative programming reflects the full gamut of this wonderful repertoire.
I believe that our first ever St. Mary Music Series has been a wonderful success, and I look forward to bringing you concerts in the future. Maybe not four per year, but your enthusiasm has shown me that you appreciate the efforts brought forth. I do apologize for this unforeseen inconvenience, and hope that you will join us in October - and bring a friend!

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2009
Cocktail Party from 7 to 7:45 pm
Concert began at 8 pm
A Sacred Music concert by the St. Mary’s Contemporary Choir, highlighting our best music from each of the Liturgical Seasons.
This concert included the music that will be featured on our CD, due for release by Advent.
We had an early cocktail party - specialty beers, wine, hot hors d’oeuvres, as well as cheese & fruit and a few sweet things, all in keeping with an Autumn theme. |
If you are interested in making a donation or becoming a benefactor of any of these concerts, please contact Dianne Fox. Your donation, no matter how small, will be acknowledged in our program. Or, if you wish, you may make a donation anonymously through Fr. Mike.
