The Knights of Columbus and Saint Mary’s SPRED would like to thank the parishioners of Saint Mary Parish who purchased Tootsie Roll Banks from the students of Pope John XXIII School at the Saint Mary’s Fall Festival and at Sunday Mass that following weekend. The students collected just over $500 for the Knights of Columbus Mental Retardation / Learning Disabilities Fund Drive. Throughout that weekend of September 17 - 19, the Knights of Columbus Evanston Council 1077 collected more than $4,000. The Knights of Columbus donated $650 to the Saint Mary’s SPRED. |
SPRED members wish to thank the Knights of Columbus Evanston Council 1077 for their most generous donation of $650 to our ministry. Their hard work and commitment to financially supporting not only our parish ministry but also Park School (District 65), Special Olympics and Saint Nicholas’ SPRED Ministry is a testament to its members’ desire for reaching out into the immediate community. Supporting programs and services that assist individuals with physical and mental difficulties with annual donations only strengthens the K of C commitment to assisting those in need. It is true that “God’s love is valuable and connecting.” How fortunate we are to be a part of that connection.
