Why get together to watch movies?
Why don’t we choose movies that are spiritual or Catholic in nature?

We gather to watch movies because we like movies. We watch secular movies because we live in a secular world. Watching movies with other Catholics, in the light of our Catholic faith, helps us to apply Catholic teaching in real world situations.

For the past three years we’ve been watching films and talking about how they make us think & feel and discussing what the issues raised have to say to us about our faith. This year's theme will follow the theme set by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for the 2010-2011 Catechetical Year, Matrimony: Sacrament of Enduring Love.

A packet of information that will include current Catholic teaching - an official document, references to scripture and to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, suggested reading, etc. will be available at this page to download prior to the screening and will be distributed in hard copy when we gather.

Summer Film Festival Info will be available June 9
Check back after July 15 for the 2010-2011 Film Schedule
